Italian Muslims Ready to Launch Islamic TV

The united Italian Muslim community is set to launch Italy's first Islamic television channel. A community administrator, Hamzah Ricardo, explained that the purpose of launching the Islamic television channel was to report on the Islamic community and the activities of various Islamic centers throughout Italy.

"The Italian Muslim community has set up a broadcast studio in Rome and is continuing to carry out several studies to calculate broadcast costs and staff costs," he was quoted as saying by the Italian news agency. Aki and Islamtoday.

According to him, the Italian Muslim Union will no longer rely on print media, especially since many immigrant Muslim communities cannot read Italian well.

According to Ricardo, his party is more targeting young Muslims who are the largest part of the Muslim community in Italy and rely more on television and the internet as a means of preaching.

The Italian Islamic Center has been invited to work together to develop the Islamic TV channel. Currently there are about 1,2 million Muslims in Italy. (islamtoday / eramuslim)
