Alert! Hong Kong was plagued by cold weather for four days in a row

HONG KONG - A “Cold Weather” warning has been issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 8.30pm today, Wednesday (4/12/2019). Cold weather is expected to hit Hong Kong from a miniature night to Sunday (8/12/2019), or 4 days in a row.

“The temperature will drop significantly during the day tomorrow and will reach a minimum temperature, around 12 degrees, tomorrow night in urban areas. For the New Territories, the temperature will be a few degrees lower (cooler), ”read an announcement on the Hong Kong Observatory's official website.

Hong Kong residents are advised to wear warm clothing and ensure adequate indoor ventilation. It is also recommended, to avoid prolonged exposure to winter winds in order to avoid experiencing colds and ill health.

The Observatory also cautioned, “Make sure the heater is safe before use, and keep it away from flammable objects. Don't start a fire indoors as a means of keeping warm. ”.

"Please ensure that there is plenty of fresh air in your room when you use the old type of gas water heater," wrote the Observatory.
