The virtue of fasting

Rasululloh Sallallahu 'alaihi Salam said: Our Rabb' Azza Wa Jalla said, "Fasting is a shield that a servant uses for protection from hellfire, and (fasting) is for Me so I myself will repay him." (HR.Ahmad no 14142)

Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi Salam said: "Indeed in heaven there is a door called Al-Rayyan, which on the day of Qiyamat no one will enter heaven through that door except the shaimun (people who fast). Then it was said to them. Where are the shaimuns? So the shaimuns stood facing. When they have all entered, the door is closed and no one will enter through the door. " (HR Bukhori no 1896)
