The law of origin of everything like muamalah is permissible as long as there is no evidence forbidding it. In line with the rules of fiqh which reads:

الْأَصْلُ الْأَشْيَاءِ اْلإِبَاحَةُ لَّا ا لَّ الدَّلِيْلُ لَي

Meaning: "The original law of everything is permissible (permissible), unless there is evidence that forbids it."

But if something contains elements that are unlawful, then the law becomes unlawful. For example, buying and selling is allowed, but if what is being sold is a pig, then the sale and purchase is haraam. Likewise with playing games (games), the original law is permissible, but if it contains elements that are unlawful, then it is unlawful. For example, playing games that contain elements of gambling.

Keep in mind, even playing games that are lawful can fall into things that are unlawful if the perpetrator is negligent and forgets the time so that he does not pray and forgets to remember Allah. Because one of the characteristics of believers is to leave things that are useless & useless.

Allah Subhanahu wata'ala says:

لَّذِینَ عَنِ للَّغۡوِ {سورة المؤمنون: }

"And those who abstain from useless (deeds & words)." {Surat al-Mu'minun: 3}

The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam also said:

لاَمِ الْمَرْءِ ا لاَ (رواه الترمذي)

"One of the signs of a person's Islamic goodness is that he leaves things that do not benefit him." (HR Tirmidhi)

Money Making Games

Indeed, there are games that are allowed, but must have conditions that do not contain elements of pornography, violence, harassment, racism, gambling, etc. Nor does it neglect the perpetrator from remembering Allah Subhanahu wata'ala.

However, in general, the games currently circulating, which are online and can generate money for the perpetrators, are prohibited in Islam. Because the culprit must top up money or balance then he speculates to be able to win & get prizes. But if you lose, then the money is forfeited. This is what leads to gambling or maisir.

Allah Subhanahu wata'ala says:

ا ا الَّذِينَ ا ا الْخَمْرُ الْمَيْسِرُ الْأَنْصَابُ الْأَزْلَامُ لِ الشَّيْطَانِ اجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ لِحُونَ {سورة المائدة: }

Meaning: "O you who believe, verily (drinking) alcohol, gambling, (sacrificing for) idols, drawing fate with arrows, are heinous acts including the actions of the devil. So stay away from these things so that you will get good luck.” {Surat al-Maidah: 90}

Hope it is useful…

Peace, mercy and blessings of God
