WL…
Halloween is a celebration of the holy night according to western Christianity which falls on October 31 every year.

Activities on Halloween include trick or treat (or anything related to disguises in spooky costumes), attending a Halloween costume party, decorating, carving pumpkins into Jack-o'-lanterns, lighting a big bonfire, divination or divination games, apple bobbing, Play practical jokes, visit haunted attractions, tell scary tales, and watch horror movies.

In many parts of the world, Christian religious celebrations on Saints' Eve, such as attending church services and lighting candles at tombs, are still popular, although in other places more secular and commercial celebrations take place. It is even said that Halloween celebrations can consume more chocolate than Valentine's Day celebrations.

These secular and commercial celebrations are now happening in many parts of the world compared to the origin of religious celebrations in Christianity.

Because the origin of this celebration comes from religious beliefs outside of Islam (Christianity), it is unlawful for a Muslim to celebrate Halloween. This is because it resembles the tradition of a people outside Islam which has a bad impact in the form of destroying faith.

From Abdullah bin Umar radiyallahu anhuma, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said:

(رواه اود)

"Whoever resembles a people, then he is one of them." (HR Abu Dawud)

Halloween celebrations can also plunge a Muslim into an attitude of tabdzir (spending wealth), is not useful, as well as a mixture of men and women who are not mahram. So Islam forbids it.

Hope it is useful…

Peace, mercy and blessings of God
