DDHK News - The Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmad al-Tayyeb, asked Muslims in Islamic countries not to be provoked by Israel's trickery. He said, the current project of the Zionist state is to divide countries in the Middle East which are predominantly Muslim. He suspects that the blasting of the Coptic Church in Alexandria was part of the project.
"The Zionist regime does not want to be a small country among big powers, therefore it seeks to divide the Islamic world," he was quoted as saying Ahlul Bayt News Agency (10 / 1).
He called for an investigation into the causes behind the terror attempt. According to him, more efforts should be made to study the roots of terrorism. In addition, he indicated that there was an attempt to pit Shiite-Sunnis against each other. "Some of the enemies are looking for rifts between Shia and Sunni Muslims."
