Not only struggling with high mortality, the lake water level in one of Pakistan's provinces is still high. The lake is known as Lake Manchar and is located in Sindh Province, west of the Indus River.

As reported by Reuters quoted by CNN Indonesia, the Pakistani government had time to dig the lake so that the water level was reduced on Sunday (4/9/2022). However, the water level in the lake is still very high and dangerous.

"The water level in Lake Manchar still hasn't subsided," said Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro.

As a result of the increase in water in the lake, as many as 100 thousand residents had to evacuate their homes. Floods in Pakistan are caused by heavy rains and melting glaciers. As many as 33 million people were affected by this flood. [DDHKNews]
