Malawian Muslims Establish Islamic TV

malawi MuslimsDDHK News, Malawi - Malawian Muslims will have their first Islamic television channel. Islamic TV received permission in 2013 when the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (Macra) issued licenses for several radio stations and TV stations.

“We have determined the location of the TV station. We chose Globe House in Yiannakis, Limbe, Blantyre, ”said Sheikh Mustahab Ayami, the Islamic TV project's senior advisor.

"We've also designed a studio and now we're doing a comparative study to other existing television stations to learn what they're doing."

Ayami looks forward to advice from Muslims on how the station should operate.

Islam is the second largest religion in Malawi after Christianity. The number is around 36% of the total population of 16 million. (mel / onislam.net / localhost / project / personal / ddhongkong.org / ddhongkong.org). *
