Cooked Wine, Is it Haram?
Assalamualaikum. Ustadz, I want to ask a question.
Regarding cooking wine, we work here (Hong Kong) use it often. Is it haram to cook wine for us Muslims, even if only a little?

ANSWER:
Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarokaatuh.
The majority of scholars still judge it haram, with the following arguments:
ا لِيلُهُ امٌ
"Whatever intoxicates in large quantities, even a small amount is unlawful." (Narrated by Tirmizy, Abu Dawud, An-Nasai, Ibn Majah).
