Already Entered Menopause Age There are Spots of Blood, Is it Menstruation?

Assalamualaikum. Ustadz, I want to ask a question.

I was born in 1964 (57 years old). I haven't had my period for 4 or 5 years. Yesterday afternoon, before it was Zuhur time, because I wanted to pick up my grandmother, I went to the bathroom to urinate. It turned out that there were red spots on my underwear, but until the afternoon it didn't come out again.

That night, I had shampooed. But this afternoon, when I was about to pray Zuhur, there was another spot.

My question is, is it called menstrual blood? Then, since I haven't been bleeding for a long time, I wash my hair, is it okay?

Thank you, Ustadz.

Greetings, Fulanah

ANSWER:

Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarokaatuh.

Bismillah… it means that you have entered menopause. If this is the case, then it is most likely not menstruation but pain.

If that is the case then it is not punishable by menstruation, but includes istihadlah. It's best if you consult a doctor immediately for further consultation about the incident.

I hope you are always healthy ma'am..!

Wallâhu a'lam bish-showâb.

Regards!
