DDHK. ORG – Ayat Kursi has extraordinary properties, including as a prayer for protection. Muslims can fortify themselves from danger by reading prayers and remembrance. One of prayer which is read in the morning and evening, namely Ayat Kursi, comes from Alquran Surah Al-Baqarah.
As reported Republika, quoted from the book of prayers and remembrance during an epidemic by Muhammad Abduh Tuasikal, reading Ayat Kursi to get protection in the morning and evening, read once every morning and evening. Here's the reading:
O Lord O Allah ِذۡنِهٖؕ يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡۚ وَلَا يُحِيۡطُوۡنَ بِشَىۡءٍ مِّنۡ عِلۡمِهٖۤ اِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرۡسِيُّهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَۚ وَلَا يَ ـــُٔوۡدُهٗ حِفۡظُهُمَا ۚ وَ هُوَ الۡعَلِىُّ الۡعَظِيۡمُ
Allahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwal Haiyul Qaiyuum; laa taakhuzuhuu sinatunw wa laa nawm; lahuu maa fissamaawaati wa maa fil ard; man zal lazii yashfa'u indahuu illaa bi-iznih; ya'lamu maa baina aydiihim wa mww khalfahum wa laa yuhiituuna bishai'im min 'ilmih.
Allah, there is no god but Him. The Ever-living One, Who constantly cares for (His creatures), neither drowsy nor sleeps. To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth. No one can intercede with Him without His permission. He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they know nothing about His knowledge except what He wills. His chair covers the heavens and the earth. And He does not find it hard to maintain both, and He is the Most High, the Most Great. (QS. Al-Baqarah verse 255
Ayat Kursi can be a practice that is done every day, even every time. By reading Ayat Kursi, a Muslim can get protection in the world and also make it easier to enter heaven.
There are a number of hadiths which mention the virtue of reading Ayat Kursi for Muslims. In Alquran, Ayat Kursi can be found in sura Al-Baqarah verse 255.
Reporting from Second, reading Ayat Kursi becomes a practice that has many virtues apart from being a prayer of protection. In a hadith, Rasulullah SAW mentioned that Ayat Kursi is the most important verse in the Qur'an.
Abu Hurairah said that Rasulullah SAW once said about Ayat Kursi:
"In Surah Al-Baqarah there is one verse which is the head of all the verses of the Qur'an, that verse is not read in a house where there is a devil in it unless he leaves the house, namely the verse of the chair."
Apart from being the main verse in the Qur'an and being able to get protection from Satan, Ayat Kursi also has other virtues.

1. Protected from Jinn and Satan
The virtue of reading verses of the chair is to be kept away from the evil and temptations of the accursed jinn and devils. This is as in the hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik RA, he said Rasulullah SAW said:
"If someone from my ummah recites the verse of the chair 12 times, then he performs his ablution and performs the morning prayer, surely Allah will protect him from the evil of Satan and his rank is equal to a person who reads the entire Qur'an 3 times, and on the Day of Judgment he will be given crown of light that shines upon all the inhabitants of the world.”
2. Get Protection from Allah SWT
Ayat Kursi can also be a practice that is routinely read after performing fardhu prayers. For anyone who reads Ayat Kursi after the obligatory prayer, they will receive the protection of Allah SWT.
In the hadith mentioned from Hasan bin Ali, the Prophet Muhammad SAW said which means:
"Whoever recites the verse of the chair at the end of each obligatory prayer, he is under Allah's protection until the next prayer." (Narrated by Thabrani)
3. The Most Main Verse of All Verses Alquran
Ayat Kursi is referred to as the head of the verses Alquran. Ayat Kursi is the most important verse, as narrated by Abu Hurairah who said that the Prophet Muhammad SAW once said:
