The rules for keeping distance are relaxed, gathering in public places is maximum 4 people

DDHK.ORG -  On Wednesday (20/10/2020), the Hong Kong Government announced the easing of some social distancing rules (social distancing). This policy will take effect from 23 October 2020.

"The government announced today that several social distancing measures will be relaxed on October 23, including lifting restrictions on the number of people allowed at wedding ceremonies," wrote the official website of the Government of Hong Kong, news.gov.hk, Wednesday.

This policy was created after considering the most recent public health risk assessment of the epidemic Covid-19 and balance it with economic needs and levels of public acceptance.

With this easing, the maximum number of people allowed at the wedding ceremony was increased from 20 to 50. However, food and drinks are still not allowed. The same policy applies to the maximum number of people in a room or partitioned area at meetings held in accordance with regulations or other regulatory instruments governing the operation of its organization or business, including meetings of shareholders of listed companies.

"Other social distancing measures currently in effect will mostly be maintained for seven days, also effective October 23," wrote news.gov.hk.

This includes a ban on gatherings of more than four people in public places. Also, the obligation to wear a mask when riding and on public transportation, entering or being present in an MTR paid area.

However, team sports in pools with more than four participants based on a specific sport are permitted. [DDHK News]
