DDHK News - A professor from St Xavier's College, Calcutta, India, was arrested Saturday after Muslims demonstrated against him for removing a female student's headscarf.
According to police, Imframe Bage removed the headscarf of Neha Parveen who participated in a student protest against rising costs on the college campus on Friday.
Bage, while trying to calm the students down, wants to confirm the identity of the students and remove Neha's headscarf.
Members of the Muslim community demonstrated in Ranchi on Saturday, blocking roads and attacking shops. Protesters also burned tires in two places. The police dismissed it. (Mel / Telegraph / Sun Sentinel). *
