DDHK.ORG - Talking about love for our Master Muhammad (s) is something very beautiful. By loving, this word of mouth will always mention his name and pray to him. This ear will listen carefully to his sirah, instructions and hadiths. This intellect will submit to what has been fixed from the laws and traditions that he brings. Meanwhile, all members of this body will immediately enjoy every movement in accordance with whatever comes from him sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.

Definition Cint

Ibnul Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah said: "Love is something that has no boundaries, there is no specific definition, because it is a matter that grows from the soul and is difficult to express."

Love itself has two sides; outer and inner. Love for something that is born is a nature, like someone who loves things that are beautiful and delicious. For example, love of beautiful pictures and scenery, love of delicious food and drink, and so on.

While love for something that is mental is like someone who loves noble things such as noble morals, good attitudes, and so on. Imam Nawawi said: "The meaning of love which is in the form of physical and mental form is all found in the Prophet Muhammad."

The Law of Loving Prophet Muhammad SAW

Loving the Prophet Muhammad saw is obligatory qath'i (proposition). There are many arguments that show the obligation to love him, including:

Say: "If fathers, children, brothers and sisters, wives, your family, the wealth you have worked for, the commerce that you are worried about the losses, and the place to live that you like, you will love more from Allah and His Messenger and from jihad in His way, then wait until Allah brings His decision ”. And Allah does not guide the wicked ”. {Surah At-Taubah: 24}

Rasulullah SAW said:

“لا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُوْنَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ والِدِهِ وَ وَلَدِهِ وَ النََّّاسِ أَجْمَعينََّّاسِ أَجْمَعينََّّاسِ. (متفق عليه)

"It is not (perfect) the faith of one of you so that I become the person he loves the most, more than he loves his father, son, and all humans". (Narrated by Bukhari Muslim)

It is also said that once the friend of Umar bin Khattab was with the Holy Prophet. Then, he held his hand and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I love you more than anything but myself". Rasulullah saw: "No, for the sake of the Essence whose soul is in His grasp, so that I become the one you love the most above yourself". Umarpun said: "Now, by Allah, truly you are the person I love the most more than myself". Rasulullah SAW said: "Now (you are right) O Umar". (Narrated by Bukhari)

From Abu Hurairah, the Messenger of Allah said:

“مِنْ أَشَدِّ أُمَّتي لي حُبًّا ناسٌ يَكونونَ بَعْدي يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ رَآني بِأَهْلِهِ وَ مالِهْهِ". (رواه مسلم ، رقم: 5060)

 “Indeed, Allah and His angels pray for the Prophet. O you who believe, pray for the Prophet and say greetings of respect to him ". [Surah Al-Ahzab: 56]
