One of the efforts of a Muslim when sick is to seek treatment through the ruqyah syar'i method or justified by the shari'a, such as ruqyah by reading prayers, verses, or letters in Al-Quran.
Among them is the letter Al-Fatihah, as in the hadith, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said:

اتِحَةُ الْكِتَابِ اءٌ لِّ اءٍ

"Surat al-Fatihah is a cure for all kinds of diseases." (HR Darimi and Baihaqi)

The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam also when going to sleep he read Surah Al-Ikhlash and Mu'awwidzatain (Al-Falaq & An-Nãs) three times and then blew into the palm of his hand, then he rubbed it on his face and body.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri radliyallahu 'anhu also once treated the village head by reading Surah al-Fatihah while blowing and spitting on the sick body part.

Later it was used as a reference for scholars and people after him to make Surah Al-Fatihah as a ruqyah reading for a healing.

It is also permissible to read prayers, verses, or letters in Al-Quran then blown into water to drink or smear, or sprinkled on people who are sick.

This is in accordance with the narration of Ibn Abi Syaibah that Umm believers Ayesha radiyallahu 'anha did not think badly of reading (prayers or letters in the Qur'an). Al-Quran) then drink and watered to the sick.

Ibn Muflih rahimahullah said, Sholih bin Ahmad bin Hanbal said: "I was (once) sick, then my father took a bowl of water that he recited (with ruqyah) and said: "Drink and wash your face and hands."

Hope it works!

Peace, mercy and blessings of God
