I used to be a Muslim then I became a non-Muslim, can I go back to Islam?

Assalamualaikum. Ustadz, I want to ask a question.

I come from a Protestant family, but since I was little I have been religious and educated in Islam. Everything I do is in accordance with the upbringing of the Bude family. After I got married and divorced, I returned to my non-Muslim biological family and I was baptized in the church.

If there is still a chance, do you think I can return to Islam? I really want to go back, not because of anything, but my intention.

Shukron, Chaplain.

Greetings, Fulanah

ANSWER:

Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarokaatuh.

Thank you for the questions submitted, may Allah establish your faith and Islam and husnul khotimah at the end of your life in this world.

Shaykh Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Asyqar, mudarris interpretation of the Islamic University of Medina in the book Zubdatut Tafsir Min Fathil Qadir quotes the word of God from Surah an Nisa verse 137, and explains:

لَّمْ اللهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ لَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ لًۢا [Allah will never forgive them, nor will they guide them to the straight path] because they are far from sincere in Allah and true faith. And uncertainty, repeated disbelief, and protracted denial are proofs that they are just playing with religion, they don't have the right intentions and sincere goals, they are hypocrites and zinacks.

When they are seen by believers they profess Islam, but when they leave they show disbelief.

Ibn Abbas said: "They will not be forgiven if they remain in disbelief until they die". As for the disbeliever who then believes and purifies his faith and renounces disbelief, then he has indeed been given guidance by Allah, and his Islam erases what has passed.

Therefore, if you believe, tsumma kafaru, then apostate, tsumma amanu, then believe again, then it will be accepted insha Allah. So multiply prayers so that Allah will give you the determination of faith, join in a good community or environment such as taklim and others, so that you can then carry out your obligations as Muslim women until the end of life.

Wallâhu a'lam bish-showâb.

Regards!
