HONG KONG - Cases of corona virus infection (Covid-19) are increasingly endemic. After more than three months, the virus that initially spread in China has finally infected more than 1 million people worldwide.
Based on data as of Friday (3/4/2020), at 11:20 a.m., at least 1.013.118 people had been infected with the virus in more than 200 countries. Of the total cases of infection, 52.709 of them ended in death. However, it was also recorded that 209.235 people had recovered from corona infection.
A total of 243.453 cases of infection with 5.926 deaths occurred in the United States, where COVID-19 is currently spreading the fastest. In Italy, the country hardest hit by the outbreak, 115.242 cases were recorded, with 13.915 deaths.
The death case is the highest in the world. That figure far exceeds the number of deaths in mainland China, where the virus started, which was only 3.322 cases.
Spain has recorded the other most cases. The number of cases of corona virus infection in the country of Matador was recorded at 110.238, with 10.096 deaths.
The number of corona virus infections is believed to be higher. This is because many countries only record severe cases or patients requiring hospitalization.
