YUEN LONG | HONG KONG - As humans, especially migrant workers who live far from their beloved families, we are bound to have problems and many life tests. We absolutely need the help of Allah Ta'ala to face these tests and get out of the various problems we face.
"There are two keys, so that we can get Allah's help," said Dai Cordofa Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK), Ustadz Ohan Burhanudin, while giving religious tausiyah at the Koran Akbar event in the context of the 11th anniversary of the Tsuen Wan Taklim Council, in Yuen Long, Sunday (18/8/2019).
Allah says, “Make your patience and prayer your help. And in fact that is really heavy, except for those who are serious, "(al-Baqarah [2]: 45).
The first key, be patient. "Basically patience comes from the word shabara-yashbiru which means to hold back. Holding on here has a broad meaning. For example, when fasting, we hold back all our passions, "said Ustadz Ohan.
Patience is divided into three. Namely, patience in obedience, patience with strength, and patience in dealing with disaster.
Not the ease of being patient is a test for those who believe. It is precisely the inability to make patience a means of Allah Ta'ala to test his servant, whether he can pass or not in the test given by Him.
"We should always have istighfar and think positively in order to pass the test of patience given by Allah SWT," he said.
The second key to getting help from Allah Ta'ala is prayer. “Through this verse Allah informs us that prayer is hard. This is because basically human passions do not like obedience. However, in this verse Allah also mentions a way to make prayer feel light, namely solemnly, "said Ustadz Ohan.
How to increase concentration? Allah explains in the next verse, "(That is) those who believe that they will meet their Lord, and that they will return to Him." (al-Baqarah [2]: 46).
In this verse Allah states that if a servant wants to be serious, it takes confidence and fear in Allah Ta'ala. "Including, honest justification from the heart to God and the life of the Hereafter," said Ustadz Ohan.
