Uncomfortable in Assembly, Going On Detention, What Should I Do?
Assalamualaikum. Ustadz, I want to ask a question.
It is recommended in the hadith and the Qur'an, that seeking knowledge is limitless and knows no time or age. Well, if there is a competition, be it a cult, calligraphy, or prayer, I participate, just to hone the courage to speak or face the crowd, but there are people in the assembly who say that I will try while I can.
My question is, should I stop or keep going, Ustadz? Whereas in the assembly, people who have skills are ostracized or always highlighted, but if I want to seek knowledge from other assemblies, the term is detained.

ANSWER:
Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarokaatuh.
Bismillah... Seeking knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim male and female. The Prophet said:
لَبُ الْعِلْمِ لَى لِّ لِمٍ (رواه ابن اجه)
"Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim." (Hadith narrated by Ibn Majah)
Including studying is attending the assembly of knowledge or assemblies taklim. In fact, the assembly of knowledge is a garden of paradise that makes a person feel calm.
أَنَسِ بْنِ الِكٍ اللَّهُ أَنَّ لَ اللَّهِ لَّى اللَّهُ لَيْهِ لَّمَ الَ ا اضِ الْجَنَّةِ ارْتَعُوا الُوا ا اضُ الْجَنَّةِ الَ لَقُ الذِّكْرِ
From Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu 'anhu, that the Messenger of Allah said: "If you pass through the gardens of paradise, then stop with pleasure." The friends asked: “What are the gardens of heaven?” He replied: "Halaqah-halaqah (groups) of dhikr." (Hadith narrated by Tirmidhi)
If someone finds things that they feel uncomfortable in a science assembly, either because of the place, some of the people, and so on, rest assured that it is a form of test in studying. If it can still be overcome or improve the situation, then stay in his position. If possible while going to other assemblies, of course, the more benefits will be obtained. Because the more places to study useful knowledge, the more blessings are obtained.
Communicate well first with the teacher in the assembly if you find things that are not pleasant, so that you can get a solution to the existing problem.
