Government does not accept being told to lie

The government refuses to be said to have lied. The government has never lied to the people about the achievements that have been achieved. "The government never lies," said Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto during a press conference at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/1).

According to Djoko, an editorial for a print media said the government had lied to the people too much. Djoko said the editorial also calls on the people to fight against these lies. The editorial was made based on the statements of a number of figures who mentioned the government lies.

However, Djoko did not respond to the figures' accusations, but preferred to respond to mass media editorials. Djoko emphasized that the government was working seriously and had no intention of lying to the people. All lists of government achievements, he said, were submitted based on data from official institutions.

Djoko emphasized that the government has also openly and honestly conveyed several programs that have not been achieved. Djoko said that the government is more receptive if it is considered unsuccessful in implementing work programs in several fields. "But if the government is lying, I think this is too far," he said.

He stated that the government always opens room for discussion if there are certain parties who have counter data that is not the same as the data owned by the government. Djoko hopes that all parties will use the discussion forum to express their opinion, not accuse the government of lying.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa, also emphasized that all facts conveyed by the government are always based on measurable data. The data is official data issued by credible institutions such as the Central Statistics Agency. (ANTARA / Liputan6). *
