Dompet Dhuafa Deliver Aid to Corona Outbreak Vulnerable Groups

INDONESIA - Team Dompet Dhuafa distributing aid to people classified as vulnerable groups due to the outbreak of the corona virus in various regions. Dozens of basic food packages were distributed containing rice, sardines, flour, canned milk, sugar, oil, soy sauce, canned biscuits, tea, coffee, egg noodles, and vermicelli. Generally, the beneficiaries are the elderly and widows, with jobs as laundry laborers and grocery traders.

In East Kalimantan, Dompet Dhuafa distributed 500 food packages to referral hospitals for patients exposed to the corona virus (COVID-19). Among others, RSKD Balikpapan, Abdul Wahab Hospital Samarinda, Panglima Sebaya Hospital, Paser Regency, and Taman Husada Hospital Bontang.

Distribution has been carried out since April 1, 2020. Each hospital received 100 food packages.

The donation was the result of fundraising conducted on the Kitabisa.com channel from March 12, 2020. Dompet Dhuafa East Kalimantan is one of the partners in distributing food to all medical teams in the region.
