The Sunnah of Fasting in Ramadan, Do You Know?

DDHK. ORG – The sunnah during Ramadan fasting is something that many do to pursue as much reward as possible in a month full of forgiveness. During Ramadan, any practice can be done. However, do you already know some of the following Ramadan sunnahs?

Ramadan stay counting the days. In this holy month Muslims can follow a number of sunnah fasting.

As reported by Republika, quoted from the book Ramadan with Family by Muhammad Abduh Tuasikal, here are 10 Sunnahs of Fasting:

  1. Eat sahur (even with a sip of water and dates), starting at mid-night, because the activity of eating sahur is full of blessings.
  2. Ending eating sahur until close to Fajr dawn is about reading 50 verses Alquran.
  3. Take a bath from the big hadats before Fajr.
  4. Wearing fragrances at dawn.
  5. Refrain from unlawful things. If someone curses you, then in your heart you just need to answer “inni shoo-immun” (I'm fasting) as a reminder to yourself and you can say it orally if it's safe from riya' (people's praise).
  6. Leaving syubhat (misguided thoughts) and lust (severe passions).
  7. Increase recitations Alquran, alms, iktikaf, feeding iftar, and other good things. These things are even more recommended in the last ten days of Ramadan.
  8. Hastening to break the fast, prioritizing breaking the fast from prayer.
  9. Break the fast with ruthob (wet dates), tamr (dried dates), or with water. Which is more perfect each of the three.
  10. After breaking the fast say: DZAHABAZH ZHOMA-U WABTALLATIL 'URUUQU WA TSABATAL AJRU INSYA ALLAH (Abstracted from Khulaashah Al-Fiqh Al-Islami 'ala Madzhab Al-Imam Asy-Syafi'i Rahimahullah).
