2. Authoritative Parenting

Authoritative parents are more flexible because even though they control and use control, they are also accepting and responsive. Parents make rules that are clear and consistently do it, they also explain the rationalization of parental rules and restrictions.

This means parents, giving children a reasonable understanding of the rules and restrictions that apply. Even though it is absolute parents who make decisions, parents still interact with respect for children's opinions.

3. Permissive Parenting

Permissive parenting is a form of parenting in which parents give children as much freedom as possible to regulate themselves. Children are not required to be responsible and not much controlled by parents.

Permissive parenting style views the child as a person and encourages the child to be undisciplined and the child is allowed to regulate his own behavior.
With this parenting style, the child gets as much freedom as possible from his family. They tend not to reprimand or warn children when children are in danger, and very little guidance is given by them.

4. Neglectful Parenting

This type of parenting generally provides very minimal time and costs for their children. Parents' time is generally used for economic purposes such as work and sometimes they are too cost-effective for their children.

Depressed parents are included in this category, they tend to neglect their children physically and psychologically. Depressed parents do not want to give physical and psychological attention to their children.

The impact of this parenting style is that it will produce the characteristics of children who are moody, impulsive, irresponsible, do not want to give in, have extreme self (low self-esteem), often play truant and often have problems with their friends.

5. Overprotective Parenting

A parenting style in which parents are overly concerned about their child's life. More than an authoritarian parenting style, parents with this parenting style are very worried if their child's needs are not being met, afraid and worried that something bad will happen to their child.

For example, parents scold their children when they hang out with neighbors' children for fear of being naughty. Parents do not allow their children to go camping, for fear of unwanted things happening. This makes children not free. Children will experience too many restrictions that hinder their activities.

As a result they spend more time playing at home. In the long term, children of this type will be more easily dependent on others, easily become anxious, immature, unable to complete basic things.
