DDHK News, Indonesia - The evacuation process of searching for victims of the hot cloud eruption of Mount Sinabung, Saturday (1/2), which caused 15 deaths, was still ongoing until Tuesday (4/2). Disaster Management Center Team Dompet Dhuafa (DMC DD) started helping with the evacuation since Monday and joined the Kabanjahe SAR team, Karo, North Sumatra.
"Since Monday we have started to carry out evacuations to search for victims who are suspected of being trapped, and we also have to wait for instructions from the local District SAR team," said Achmad Riyadi, a DMC volunteer team. Dompet Dhuafa.
According to him, the search process still refers to the conditions of Sinabung and the local Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation (PVMBG). On the second day, the evacuation of victims was stopped because Mount Sinabung erupted again 3 times. Ash rain also covered the area from Kabanjahe to Brastagi.
