IUHK Dakwah Training on Islamic Sharia

The Halaqoh da'wah training on Saturday BMI Hong Kong and the Islamic Union of HK at the Ammar Wanchai Mosque, last Saturday, discussed the meaning and scope of Islamic law. Speakers Prof. Dr. KH. Udin Kamiludin from IAIN Cirebon explained that Islamic law is a rule set by Allah SWT for humans and the universe, the teaching of life in the world and the hereafter.

"The source of the Islamic sharia Al-Quran, Al-Hadith, and ijtihad, "he explained. "The ijtihad method, among others ra'yu - scientific thinking process so that it comes to conclusions - and qiyas -analogy.

He said, the characteristics of Islamic sharia are equality before the law, legal establishment according to the ability and character of the ummah, and upholding social, economic and political justice.

Ust. Kamiluddin also explains the function of hadith, which is to explain or interpret verses Al-Quran and establish certain laws that are not discussed in Al-Quran.

The function of ijtihad determines a law if it is not clearly stated in the Quran and hadith. Ijtihad was carried out during the time of the Prophet Muhammad until now.

Halaqoh Saturday and IUHK da'wah training will be held on Saturdays from January 14th to March 10th 2012, at 2.30-4.30pm on the 6th floor of Ammar Wanchai Mosque, 40 Oi Kwan Road Wanchai HK. The training is open to the public and free of charge.

According to the Chairman of Halaqoh on Saturday, Retno Uswatun Khasanah, the plan is that on February 4, 2012 Halaqoh will hold Diba 'Qubro welcomed the Maullid of the Prophet Muhammad and the training was continued again the following Saturday.
