President Jokowi's mother passed away

INDONESIA - President Joko Widodo's mother, Sujiatmi Notomiharjo, reportedly passed away today, Wednesday (25/3/2020). Sujiatmi Notomiharjo passed away at the age of 77.

Based on information from various sources compiled by CNN Indonesia, Sujiatmi was born on February 15, 1943. This woman from a family of timber traders grew up in the Ngemplak area, Boyolali, Central Java.

The woman married Widjiatno Notomihardjo who lived in Karanganyar, Solo in 1959. From that marriage, she was blessed with four children, namely Jokowi, Sriyatin, Idayati, and Titik Ritawati.

There isn't much personal information from Sujiatmi. However, the figure of Sujiatmi is known to be an eye witness to Jokowi's political career since becoming the mayor of Solo, the governor of DKI Jakarta, and becoming president of Indonesia for two terms.

During his life, Sujiatmi is known to have received an award as the 2018 Tangguh Woman Award from the Chairman of the PERTIWI Women's Council Mooryati Soedibyo.
