In its daily report Monday (2/1/2022) yesterday, the NCM said moderate and heavy thunderstorms, accompanied by active winds, were expected to fall in several parts of the Asir, Baha, Makkah and Madinah regions.

"This extends to parts of Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Northern Borders and Jouf areas," he continued.

This condition will also hit several parts of the Najran and Jizan regions.

Not only that, the National Meteorological Center also reported that some high areas in Tabuk and the northern part of the Kingdom could witness snowfall.

Rain is seen as a sign of mercy in Islam. In QS Ash-Syura verse 28 it is mentioned, وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ يُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا قَنَطُوْا وَيَنْشُرُ رَحْمَتَهٗ

Meaning: "And it is he who sends down the rain after they despair and spreads His mercy. And he is the most protector, the most praiseworthy.” [DDHK News]
