5 Tips to Be More Confident in Your Talk

Second, stand tall and tall. Fear, said Miss Agrina, makes us naturally try to look as small as possible in front of other people. To fight it off and look more confident, we can do this by raising your head, straightening your back, and pulling your shoulders back.

Third, use your hands as best you can. “Gesture is one of the most important in communication. If you move or tap your feet, it makes you look less confident. Try to get your hands out of your pockets and create a confident and calm posture, ”said Miss Agrina.

Fourth, speak loud and clear. Speaking slowly (not in a hurry), clearly, and loudly enough will make it easier for people to know or understand us. That way, we will sound more confident.

Fifth, take a deep breath. “Take a few breaths before starting to speak to prepare yourself before speaking. Close your eyes and watch your breath. Inhale through your nose and out through your mouth, ”he said.

Exercise to Feel More Calm and Confident

On this occasion, Miss Agrina also advised the participants to train themselves to appear calmer and more confident. There are three exercises that can be done.

First, breathing exercises for calm. "Watch your breathing. Place your hands on your upper abdomen. Close your eyes. Take slow, deep breaths. Inhale through your nose and out through your mouth, ”said the speaker from Enrich.

Second, visualization exercises for relaxation. All you have to do in this exercise is think of a time when you feel very relaxed and comfortable. Look where we are and what we were doing at that time. Then, try to feel again what we felt at that time.

Third, training for empowerment. “Think of a time when you succeeded in doing something difficult and think back to how you felt when you did it.
