DDHK.ORG - Throughout 2021, Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK) disbursed funds amounting to HK$1,904,776. This figure is equivalent to Rp.3.510.502.168 at an exchange rate of HK$1 = Rp.1.843.
This is summarized in the 2021 DDHK Annual Report submitted by the General Manager of DDHK, M. Imam Baihaqi, Friday, January 15, 2022. "This is the release of DDHK's year-end report for the public to know," he said.
Based on the report, the largest absorption of funds was expenditure for operations of 25,84 percent. Followed by social assistance and training costs, respectively 20,36 percent and 20,27 percent.
In addition, there is an absorption for fundraising activities of 9,02 percent, to finance da'wah programs 11,44 percent, qurban 6,73 percent, and humanitarian aid 6,34 percent.
3 adaptive programs during a pandemic
Throughout 2021 DDHK will continue to carry out 3 main programs. Namely, Social, Da'wah, and organizing training or Migrant Class.
Social programs include migrant care activities such as prison and hospital visits, social assistance, shelter services, provision of volunteers or volunteers, distribution of sacrificial meat, and humanitarian assistance in disaster locations in Indonesia. The da'wah program includes activities of the Al-Qur'an Clinic, LPTQ, religious studies, consultations, giving daily da'wah messages, and reporting through DDHK News. Meanwhile, the training program includes online lectures, English and computer courses, sewing, and sports.
"We have adapted many of these activities to the ongoing pandemic situation, with a total participation of 8.538 people," said Imam Baihaqi.
120 percent of donation collection achievement
Imam Baihaqi reported that the collection of donations in 2021, which is his third year as General Manager of DDHK, increased from the collection of donations in the previous year. The amount is HK$1,817,770.
For comparison, in 2020 DDHK raised a donation of HK$1,514,053. "Alhamdulillah, the achievement in 2021 is 120 percent compared to the previous year, but it has only reached 91 percent of the set target: HK$2 million," he said.
DDHK's largest donation was received from infaq by 56,48 percent. Followed by zakat 10,77 percent and waqf 10,70 percent. Others, zakat fitri 5,21 percent, humanitarian donations 7,07 percent, qurban 7,98 percent, and thematic infaq 1,79 percent.
Most of the donations received by DDHK from Indonesian migrant workers amounted to 67,03 percent. In addition, DDHK also received donations from expatriates in Hong Kong and companies, respectively 13,19 percent and 19,29 percent of the total collection. The remaining 0,49 percent was received from the community.
"We thank the donors who have entrusted their donations to DDHK," said Imam Baihaqi.
The collection of donations cannot be separated from the support of various parties, such as Telin Hong Kong through SMS donations; BNI Remittance, BRI Remittance, and Mandiri Remittance through various collaborations, including the provision of donation boxes at their branch offices; as well as cooperation in the use of TNG accounts for receiving donations.
