Cherry Blossoming Season in Tung Chung

Reporting from Dimsumdaily, there are a total of 80 cherry trees at the foot of Scenic Hill on Chek Lap Kok South Road, Tung Chung. Visitors can take photos with aakura as a backdrop.

Cherry blossom season in Jepang generally said to occur in late March to April. However, Hong Kong residents don't have to go all the way to Japan to see the cherry trees in bloom as they can head straight to Tung Chung to witness this.

More than a hundred residents visited the area that was originally surrounded by a fence. But recently the pedestrian walkway has been officially opened for residents to enter and enjoy the cherry blossoms.

About 80 cherry trees are planted in the park, lining the streets to form a cherry blossom boulevard. As the weather gradually warms up, the cherry trees on the boulevard are also in full bloom, attracting many photographers to take pictures.

In addition, since the cherry blossom boulevard is close to Ngong Ping Cable Car Ngong Ping Station, visitors can also take the cable car to see the sea of ​​pink cherry blossoms from a different perspective and enjoy the beautiful spring scenery.

However, cherry blossoms usually only last about two weeks, so it is recommended that visitors arrive early to avoid disappointment.

To get to this location, if from MTR Tung Chung Station, head to Ngong Ping Cable Car Station, walk past Tat Tung Street Park and go to the end. Turn right and take the flyover onto Tung Chung Waterfront Road.
