Concerning Disasters in Indonesia, the KJRI Hong Kong DWP Study Council Gives Donations to DDHK

DDHK.ORG - Al-Falah Unity Women's Dharma Study Council (DWP) Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Hong Kong, Wednesday (27/01/2021) handed over humanitarian donations to Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK) to be distributed to victims of natural disasters in the country. The HK $ 11,600 donation was handed over by the Head of the Indonesian Consulate General of the Indonesian Consulate in Hong Kong, Mella Iqbal, and received directly by the General Manager of DDHK, M. Imam Baihaqi at the DDHK office, Causeway Bay.

Humanitarian Donations from Dozens of Indonesian Migrant Worker Communities

To help victims of natural disasters in the country, DDHK also received humanitarian donations from various communities of Indonesian migrant workers in Hong Kong and Macau. Among them, the donations collected by the Indonesian Taklim Council in Macau (Matim) and Indonesian migrant workers in Macau amounted to MOP 6,250.

On January 24, 2021, DDHK also received the submission of humanitarian donations for disasters in Indonesia from Al-Istiqomah Council and TPQ An-Nahdliyyah Al-Istiqomah Tsim Sha Tsui amounting to HK $ 15,000. On the same day, DDHK also received donations from the FKMPU Council worth HK $ 4,375.

Previously, on January 17, 2021, DDHK also received a humanitarian donation fund of HK $ 1,596 to be distributed to disaster victims in Indonesia from the Under Bridge Causeway Bay Community. An employer at Diamond Hill was also reported to have contributed HK $ 500 to flood victims in Indonesia.

Humanitarian donations as a form of concern for disaster victims in Indonesia were also received by DDHK from the Al-Muhajiroh Tai Po Assembly, TGB Sahabt Community, Fan Ling Al-Falah Council, Yuen Long Islamic Ukhuwah Council (MUI), Al-Hijrah Tai Po Assembly, Volunteer Team DDHK, DDHK Al-Qur'an Clinical Class, Tsuen Wan Taklim Assembly, TST Uswatun Hasanah Assembly, Hang Hau Muslim Mother Council, Nurul Qolby Cheung Chau Assembly, Tai Po Al-Ikhlas Council, Tsing Yi Idol Park Assembly, Al-Fadhilah Assembly TST, Al-Khasanah Council, IMAH, and Friends of Indonesian Shops in Tuen Mun.

To help victims of natural disasters in the country, Dompet Dhuafa establishing posts and carrying out humanitarian actions in various locations. Among them, in four areas affected by the eruption of Mount Merapi, in the flood locations in South Kalimantan, at the earthquake location in West Sulawesi, at the locations of flash floods and landslides in Manado, and at locations of floods and landslides in Sumedang, West Java.

Others sent assistance via QR code at the 7-Eleven and Circle K cashiers. In addition, donations were also provided via the SMS INFAQ 333 facility by As2in1 phone card users.
