JAKARTA | INDONESIA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), accompanied by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Friday (25/10/2019), appointed 12 Deputy Ministers in a number of ministries in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. The figures were previously summoned by Jokowi to the palace in the morning, then the President announced their names and positions at around 13:42 WIB.
After being introduced on the steps of the palace veranda, the Deputy Minister candidates attended the oath of office and inauguration procession led by Jokowi.
The following is a list of Deputy Ministers of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet, along with their background:
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs: Mahendra Siregar (Former Head of the Investment Coordinating Board).
Deputy Minister of Defense: Wahyu Sakti Trenggono (Former General Treasurer of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf National Campaign Team).
Deputy Minister of Religion: Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi (PPP Politician and Deputy Head of MUI).
