On Sunday (19/5/2019), at 16:00 p.m., we gathered together with hundreds of congregations from various taklim assemblies to take part in the joint breaking event held by Dhompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK) in Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. We were not weakened by the scorching heat of the sun and were fasting. The spirit of togetherness and ukhuwah bond strengthens us all.
The DDHK Dai Ambassadors shared their duties at the event which was also attended by the Acting Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Hong Kong, Mandala S. Purba. I was assigned to give tausiyah, and Ustadz Akhmad Hawasyi Syamsuddin as Tarawih priest. Meanwhile, Ustadzah Kuni Afifah Hasan and Ustdzah Maryanti are in charge of singing the echoes of the prayers.
We are happy here, seeing the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) Hong Kong to gather together, stay in touch, and seek knowledge. Happy, seeing those who use their free time to recite and study.
They also looked happy because DDHK was able to unite us in togetherness to increase faith, piety and ukhuwah. []
