The impact is lighter, at level III MMI is felt in Sidoarjo, Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan, Sumenep, Madiun, Ponorogo, Pacitan, Tuban, Nganjuk, and Ngawi districts, as well as the cities of Surabaya and Batu. At this level, the vibrations of the earthquake are felt real in the house, it feels as if a truck has passed.

It was noted that several village offices, houses, Puskesmas buildings, mosques, sub-district offices, and hospitals were damaged in several areas due to the earthquake. In Lumajang, it was recorded that 1 person died as a result of being hit by a boulder on the Lumajang-Malang route. Also, it was recorded that 1 person suffered minor injuries.
