DDHK. ORG – Muslims in Japan are invited to prosper the Istiqlal Mosque of Osaka (MIO) Japan. This invitation came from Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. This mosque was built by the Indonesian community in Osaka to worship and carry out religious activities there.
“Mosques built must be prospered. That's the sign of a believer. Don't build a mosque but don't want the contents (filling it) to prosper," the Vice President said in his remarks at the inauguration of the Istiqlal Mosque in Osaka, Osaka, Jepang, Monday (6 / 3 / 2023).
As reported Republika, the Vice President reminded people who build and prosper masjid included in the group of believers and included in the faith in Allah SWT.
"Don't be like people building a burial place, what's that called, coffin. People want to build coffins, but after they are built they don't want to go in,” said Ma'ruf.
During his remarks, he conveyed that the construction of the MIO which can accommodate 1.500 worshipers is a sign of the contribution of the Indonesian people to Islam and Muslim communities to Japan, especially the Osaka region.
Ma'ruf hopes that MIO will not only be used for prayer, remembrance and prayer, it will also be used for economic and socio-cultural interests for the people.
“The function of the mosque is growing in this modern world. I hope that the mosque will become a place for sharia economic and financial development, both in terms of developing concepts and practices," he said.
He welcomed the plan of the MIO management to build madrasas and clinics, in addition to making MIO a missionary center in Japan. So that later MIO will not only be magnificent physically but will also become the center of progress of Islamic civilization.
"I also hope that MIO can become a showcase for the true image and face of Islam, which is soothing, tolerant, advanced and peaceful," he said.
