Including reports of receiving donations from the public and their distribution in the form of assistance and compensation programs, as well as the implementation of various activities.
Based on the report, it appears that there has been a surge in receipts for humanitarian donations. Namely, up to HK $ 77,416. This figure is even greater than the humanitarian donations collected by DDHK throughout 2020, which is around HK $ 43,453 or 2,87 percent of the total donation collection in 2020.
DDHK also reported that in the first month of 2021 it received a zakat payment of HK $ 9,311. In addition, receiving waqf funds from the community of HK $ 10,100 and infa funds of HK $ 80,532.
In total, throughout January 2021, DDHK raised a donation of HK $ 177,359. "We would like to thank all donors who have entrusted their donations to DDHK. Alhamdulilah, the concern of the Indonesian people in Hong Kong and Macau is very big. This January, the funds deposited with us increased from the previous month. Most of it is also disaster funds, which God willing, we will distribute in February, ”said General Manager of DDHK, M. Imam Baihaqi.
Activity Report
In the media and news sector, DDHK publishes news and information on Islamic activities, the Covid-19 outbreak, institutional activities, as well as the latest information from Indonesia, Hong Kong and Macau. A total of 54 news and articles were published on the website ddhk.org. Meanwhile, on social media, DDHK made 212 posts on the Facebook page Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong, 65 posts on Instagram, and 19 videos on Youtube channel DDHK News.
Throughout January 2021 DDHK provided shelter services to two Indonesian migrant workers who needed temporary housing. In the social sector, DDHK also distributed assistance and compensation to seven regions in Indonesia. Namely, to East Lombok, Ponorogo, Magetan, Mamuju, Blitar, Magelang, and South Jakarta.
Through the da'wah program, DDHK provided 20 online consultations, 22 times religious tausiyah, and 19 held Al-Qur'an study classes. "These activities were attended by 709 people, both men, women and children," said Imam Baihaqi.
For the Migrant Class program, DDHK held 10 English class meetings, 4 Package learning class meetings, and 4 online studies.
Donation Fund Distribution
A total of HK $ 98,941 of the collected donations was used by DDHK to finance various programs and to distribute aid. Namely, for the operational costs of the institution, the cost of raising funds, funding for da'wah activities, social assistance, and humanitarian assistance.
The largest percentage of the use of funds was spent on humanitarian assistance, amounting to 35,90 percent. For social assistance, it reached 22,67 percent. Team Dompet Dhuafa also continues to provide services in several disaster locations in Indonesia, "said Imam Baihaqi.
