5 Aftershocks, 8 People Died The World

DDDHK.ORG - Until Saturday (10/4/2021) night, there were 5 aftershocks that rocked a number of areas in East Java and was centered in the Southwest, Malang Regency. Eight people were recorded as victims of the earthquake which first occurred on Saturday afternoon.

This was conveyed by the Acting Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) East Java Province, Yanuar Rachmadi, in his report, Saturday night. "Reporting the development of the earthquake in the southwestern sea of ​​Malang Regency on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 21.00 WIB, 8 people were declared dead," he said.

Of the 8 residents who died as a result of this earthquake, 5 of them were in Lumajang Regency. The victims who died were Ahmad Fadholi and Sri Yani (46) having their address at Tempurrejo Village, Tempursari District; Juwanto, H Nasar alias H Amin, and Bonami who are located at Kaliuling Village, Tempursari.

While the other 3 are in Malang Regency. Namely, an Imam from Sidorenggo Village, Ampelgading District; Munadi (70) from Wirotaman Village, Ampelgading District; and Misni (53) from Krajan Hamlet, Tamanasri Village, Ampelgading District.

"The victim died as a result of being hit by building materials, and some were crushed by the rubble of a cliff on the Lumajang-Malang route," said Yanuar.

Besides the victim died, there was also 1 resident who suffered serious injuries and as many as 24 people suffered minor injuries. They are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

DMC response Dompet Dhuafa

Responding to the Malang earthquake, Tim DMC Dompet Dhuafa established a warm post in Majangtengah Village, Dampit District, Malang Regency. Dompet Dhuafa also helped evacuate people's belongings buried in material debris.

Dompet Dhuafa also carried out the distribution of basic necessities for the earthquake victims around the post.
